Following the release of the successful 1990 remake, FantaCo Enterprises, Inc. published a four issue mini-series, which was followed by NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD: THE AFTERMATH and a NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD TRADE PAPERBACK, which included the original plot and dialogue of the film. Before the original series was released, FantaCo Enterprises published a PRELUDE(the covers to this can be seen below).
While the series was short lived, writer and director Clive Barker returned to this series with NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD: LONDON, which ran for two issues. Then in 1994, another NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD comic series was released starting with an issue zero but like the other titles it ended after it's third issue.

As of May 2004, IDW Publishing has been responsible for releasing an adaptation of the original DAWN OF THE DEAD in comic format by Steve Niles (http://www.steveniles.com), the author and creator of 30 DAYS OF NIGHT.
